So. As you can see free time is non-existant.I have Tuesday night and Saturday afternoon/evening. Which will be filled up with homework and sleep.

I am hoping I can get used to this schedule soon because all week I have been rocking red-eyed sleep walking all day.

However, I’m totally grateful and happy to have the chance to work on such an epic show! I think it’s going to be insane and I cannot wait to see the result of all of our hard work…just right now in this moment I am exhausted.

Only 3 semesters left…

I have been off work since December 23rd. Other than the Christmas and New Years activities Cotie and I have been really busy doing a lot of …. nothing.

Movies We Have Seen:
New Moon (again), Nine, Precious, The Princess and the Frog and The Road.

We have gone swimming, done EA Active, today we are trying Bollywood Burn!

We are cleaning our apartment, re-arranging it , getting new furniture.

We got a new car! Well, a new-old car! We fixed up my Aunt’s old 1992 Plymouth Acclaim.

Today is our last day of sitting around doing nothing. We are working out, watching movies, maybe going to a movie and ordering in sushi.

It will be glorious.

2010 Eh? Already?

2009 was such a … special year.

There were some high times (Getting engaged, NEW YORK, Albertine)…and some low times (being broke, my dad getting fired, Cotie’s cousin..etc..etc.)

Its safe to say I’m not sorry to see it go.

I could make all sorts of resolutions. However, they usually just make me feel bad. So this year. None. No resolutions.

I am going to just keep doing what I am doing. Eating well. Exercising. and THE most important, learning how to relax.

I think that in the next 2 years I will meet all sorts of terrifying stressful situations and I want to be able to maintain the skill of taking it on the chin and continuing on. I am lucky to have what I do, a great family, a loving fiancé, good friends, education so I just need to focus on that and keep my eye on the prize.

In Short:

Peace the fuck out 2009. Good riddance!!

“Update already”

Okay. As you are likely the only one who reads this anyway, I will oblige.

Christmas has come and gone. I was so excited, I felt like it would never come and now I am staring at a box that is filled with our tree and all our tacky decorations.

It was a good one this year here it is, In REVIEW:

Christmas Eve:

Delicious brunch at my parent’s. The usual batches of getting ready stress..but brunch was delicious. Presents from Grandparent’s and lots of egg nogg. Christmas Eve service at Knox United Church. Back to my parents for soup and coffee…we left a scandalous list of things out for Santa, including Anyssa’s migraine pills and all sorts of other illicit items.

Christmas Day:

Awoke at 9:00. Opened presents. Spoiled beyond belief. Stress, cleaning etc etc Christmas Dinner (first Vegetarian Christmas….it was delicious I didn’t miss the turkey at all.) Pictionary, some sort of Name That Tune humming game. Then, Taylor and I invented a house wide game where he got three balls of tin foil and I got a nerf gun. First one to hit the other wins. It was fantastic. Actually, maybe that was Christmas Eve.

Boxing Day:

SHOPPING! Nap. PJs.

New Years Eve then came really quick and it was a fantastic evening. Our Engagement Party was so great, we felt so loved having all of our nearest and dearest in one room eating great food and drinking Taylor-made drinks. It was great and we are so grateful that our parent’s threw such a great party!

…and that’s it. Really. Sad actually that it can be summed up so quickly but really that’s it. Now it’s five more days of vacation until the ….wait I’m not supposed to discuss how stressed I am until Saturday…Pinky promised.

Nice Try Document Server Randy.
Nice tray of baking you gave us. Real cute. With the melty  marhsmallow-y goodness all over it. Really cute. I’ll have you know that I opted for a cup of coffee, with no creamer and Splenda right in the face of your brownies.

FRIDAY!

I had my work Christmas party which was hilarious fun times as usual. Great good, great prizes and games. It was a blast. We then had dinner with our friend and his gf at Melrose. It was nice to catch up. We went home and fell asleep early as we were both exhausted.

Saturday

We didn’t get out of our pjs until 6:30pm. We watched Love, Actually, drank hot chocolate, watched The Year Without a Santa Clause and for the very first time in our relationship…we ordered in Chinese. It was perfection.

Then we got my parent’s van, which was excellent, and went grocery shopping at 12:30am as Superstore is open 24/7 for Christmas!

Sunday:

We got up SUPER early and hit up the laundromat and did 11 loads of laundry, then put it all away and re-arranged my closet. We hit up the mall (after having Chinese leftovers) and got my eyebrows done, Cotie’s hair cut (he’s a super fox) and bought some cute winter-y clothes for ourselves (oops). We went home, had dinner and then I slept at my parent’s so I didn’t have to go home after driving their van back to them..which was fun to hang out with my sister and mom, helping wrap presents, but sad because I haven’t slept alone in months.

So there you have it. Weekend in review.

I am pining for New York so bad right now. I need to live there. Soon. It was the best 9 days of my life and I am desperate to go back. It is the greatest city.

God, I love that place. I need to go watch Sex and the City now to become re-acquainted with it.

Broadway. The Village. Times Square. Brooklyn. Meat Packing District. Upper West Side. I love it all.
